About the Willamette Valley Pinot Noir: The 1988 Willamette Valley
Pinot Noir was the first wine produced in Oregon by the Drouhin
Family. With the 2008, which marks the 21st release, the Willamette
Valley Pinot Noir has become a foundational element of many great
wine lists and personal cellars. 95% of its fruit is produced on
the family’s estate in the Dundee Hills, and the wine is vinified
as all Drouhin wines are, with an eye towards elegance, balance and
finesse.
Winemaking: Once the fruit has reached full maturity with a
perfect balance between brix and acid, and fruit and tannin, it is
hand-picked and brought to the winery in small 25 pound
totes. In 2009, very little sorting was necessary and the
Fermentation began without inoculation. Once dry, the
free-run juice is moved via gravity into both new (20%) and neutral
French Oak barrels. Barrels are custom made for us in
Burgundy, using oak from France’s best forests, which we feel
allows the charcter of the wine and vintage to show through.
After 12 months, Véronique selects the most represntative barrels
for our Willamette Valley cuvée.
Véronique’s Tasting Notes: The 2009 Willamette Valley Pinot
Noir is deep and vibrant, with good color and excellent clarity.
Aromatically, the wine is quite open, even opulent - a mix of
velvety rose petals, violets and spices. On the palate, the
ftexture is lush and mouth-coating, but well-balanced. Together,
they provide definition and intensity, followed by refined, silky
tannins. The finish is quite long, with beautiful cherry notes.
While the ‘09 will age quite well, I won’t hesitate to enjoy it

Adult Signature
Requirement:
We strongly suggest shipping your order to a business address.
State law, as well as FedEx policy, requires an adult signature at
the time of delivery for every package containing wine. It is the
shipper’s responsibility to ensure an adult is available to sign
for the shipment at delivery. Shipments will not be delivered under
the following circumstances:
• The recipient is not 21 years of age or older or does not have an
acceptable form of ID such as a driver's license, passport or birth
certificate.
• The recipient shows signs of intoxication.
If a shipment is returned to us, after 3 delivery attempts, we will
bill your card on file for the return shipping. Please

Weather Restrictions:
To protect your wine investment, our shipping schedule will be
dictated by weather and heat conditions in your area. Please call
the winery (503-864-2700) with any questions regarding our current
shipping schedule and to make special delivery arrangements.
Shipment Dates:
Please specify your preferred shipping and/or delivery date to
guarantee timely receipt of your order. If a preferred date
isn't specified, we will send your wine on the next available
date. It is our preference to only ship wine on Monday's or
Tuesday's, to prevent bottles from spending to much time in a
non-temperature controlled environment. Orders for Monday
shipments must be received no later than noon on the Friday
prior. Tuesday shipments must be received by noon on the day
before (Monday), to guarantee same-week shipping. Please call
